Rays peck away at Phillies lead

Hamels is gone, and the Rays offense comes to live, sort of.

With Fabio Castro on the hill, Gomes draws a leadoff walk and goes to third on Navarro’s double to right field.

Longoria draws a walk to load the bases.

Brignac flies to right to score Gomes.

Phillies 4, Rays 2

Weber ends the threat by bouncing into a double play.

I like Weber. I likes his hustle and passion and heart, but he’s not looking good today.

He’s 0-for-3 to drop his average to .166.

Here’s Hamels line: six innings, two hits, one run, seven strikeouts.
