I guess you call this Manny being Manny.
The Red Sox left fielder lined the ball into left field with two out in the fourth inning and tried to stretch it into a double. Ramirez would have been out, but he somehow managed to slide around the tag of Aki, ruining what as an outstanding throw from Weber.
Alas, Manny tried to score on Mike Lowell’s single to center, but was thrown out by B.J. Upton. The play wasn’t even close, and Ramirez gave himself up, proving that not everyone plays aggressive in spring training.
