Rays at Red Sox

Welcome to City of Palm Parks in Fort Myers where the scoreboard says it is 20 degrees. Oh wait, that’s Celsius. It is 69 degrees in the sun, a beautiful day of a baseball game.

It’s the Rays vs. the Red Sox in the only meeting of the two teams this spring.
First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m.

I’m Roger Mooney, and I’ll be blogging the action today, and, hopefully, the action will be limited to only baseball activities.

Former Rays shortstop Julio Lugo will not be in the lineup today. He will miss his 11th straight game with lower back soreness.

Red Sox pitcher Bartolo Colon will make his first appearance this spring, having signed a minor league contract before camp.

Here are the lineups:

1B Carlos Pena
