Twins at Rays

Good morning. It’s 10:15 a.m., and the storm clouds are rolling toward Florida’s gulf coast. The wind has picked up here at Al Lang Field as the Tampa Bay Rays conduct infield fielding drills before batting practice.

More specifically, they are working on catching pop ups.

The bus carrying the Minnesota Twins must be near, because their equipment van has already arrived.

I’m Roger Mooney and I’ll be your blogging host for this afternoon’s game between the undefeated Rays (4-0) and the Twins (2-3).

Thunderstorms are expected to arrive around 2 p.m., so it might be tough to get in nine innings today. Kind of a bummer for a team that rode a bus from Fort Myers, don’t you think.

Anyway, first pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m.

Here are the lineups:

2B Nick Punto
RF Michael Cuddyer
1B Garrett Jones

3B Mike Lamb

1B Carlos Pena
DH Rocco Baldelli
