Astros score once, could have scored twice

The Astros take the lead in the third when former Ray Tomas Perez scores from third on an infield hit by Cruz.

Astros 2, Rays 1

Houston could have scored another run, but Cannizaro (Didn’t I just read something about him?) knocked down Cruz’s ground ball, preventing it from going into the outfield and forcing Humberto Quintero from scoring from second.

It was a nice play by Cannizaro. He was playing in and he had to move to his right and leave his feet to make the play.

That’s the kind of play that gets you recognized.

Hammel gets out of the jam after allowing that one run.
