That’s part of Percy’s routine. He needs eight, maybe nine innings, to get ready for the season.
“He’s not on a normal scheduled, because he’s not normal,” Rays manager Joe Maddon said.
Percy threw about nine pitchers to get through the inning, retiring the Phillies on a pop-up to third, a strikeout and pop-up to second.
