Plenty of pitching so far

The idea today is get work for the pitchers, and so far the pitchers have been working.

Since the Rays three-run outburst in the third, there has been one hit – a leadoff double by Phillies left fielder Greg Dobbs to start the fourth.

That came off Al Reyes and is Philadelphia’s only hit through five.

Trever Miller worked the fifth for the Rays and walked a batter.

The Rays, meanwhile, are hitless since the third.

Philadelphia left Fabio Castro has retired six straight Rays.

It’s still 3-0 Rays.

Only eight more innings!
