We have found the answer to Edwin Jackson’s struggles and it has nothing to do with his arm slot or his shoulder flying open or even location, and everything to do with the uniform.
Wearing the Rays new home whites for the first time ever, Jackson just completed one of his finest innings on a pitcher’s mound.
He got Eric Bruntlett and Jayson Werth to bounce out to Aki at second then struck out Chris Snelling.
Not a bad way to start what is projected to be a six-inning outing for a guy sporting a 7.36 ERA.
